What Is a Hanger System? Applications of Hanger Systems in Assembly Lines

A hanger system is a mounting frame used to hang and transport machine bodies, automotive bodies, etc. along a conveyor line. It is typically a key component of an overhead conveyor system in modern manufacturing and assembly lines.
Hangers are designed to securely hold vehicle bodies or machine frames while allowing them to move smoothly along the conveyor track. This provides many benefits such as optimizing space, improving accessibility for assembly, and enabling easier movement compared to traditional floor conveyors.

Design and Functions of Hanger Systems

  • Body/Machine Frame Mounting Structure: Hangers are typically built with a rigid frame designed to attach to fixed mounting points on the vehicle or machine body. This ensures stable and secure movement along the conveyor line.
  • Adjustable Mounting Mechanism: Hangers may include adjustable mechanisms that allow them to accommodate different body sizes and shapes. These adjustments can cover width, length, and height to ensure compatibility with various machine or vehicle frames.
  • Mounting Points: The hanger features strategically positioned mounting points designed to match the attachment positions on the vehicle or machine body. These points ensure a secure and stable connection during movement.
